In this certification course, divers will learn the theoretical knowledge needed to conduct scientific underwater research as well as have the opportunity to practice those skills.<\/p>\n<p>The main goals of this program are to learn how to collect scientific data and samples, conduct underwater observations and capture scientific video film and photographs. Additionally, students will also participate in underwater navigation and underwater mapping projects.<\/p>\n<p>During this program you will not only hone your diving skills, but also learn how to investigate and analyze underwater environments in a proper and safe way, without damaging the underwater world. You will also be introduced to various research techniques and get the chance to practice them with colleagues.<\/p>\n<h3>Prerequisites<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum age is 16 years old<\/li>\n<li>Good diving skills (theoretical and practical)<\/li>\n<li>Medical statement<\/li>\n<li>ProTec <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protecdive.com\/all-certifications\/advanced-scuba\/adv-scuba-core\/2diver\/\">2** Diver<\/a> certificate or equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Become an underwater researcher.
