ISO 9001
– Certified Quality, Internationally Recognized

2025/7
We are proud to announce that ProTec has successfully achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, audited and certified, one of the world’s most respected and accredited certification bodies.
This milestone demonstrates, in a transparent and verifiable way, that our entire organization — from management and IT processes to diver training and certification — meets the highest global standard of quality management.
What ISO 9001 Certification Means
ISO 9001 is the most widely recognized quality management standard in the world. Unlike product- or service-specific conformity labels, ISO 9001:2015 focuses on the entire system behind an organization. It ensures that processes are clearly structured, responsibilities are transparent, and quality is continuously measured and improved.
Certification by an independent, accredited body is proof that ProTec’s management system works effectively and consistently.
The Scope of Our Certification
Our ISO 9001 certification covers all areas of our organization that impact quality and customer satisfaction. It ensures that every step of the ProTec process is guided by internationally recognized standards of quality management.
From First Contact to Certification – Every Step Matters
- Customer Contact & Service
Every journey begins with clear, transparent communication. From the very first inquiry, our quality processes ensure that divers, instructors, and dive centers receive timely and accurate information. - Learning Materials & Tools
All ProTec training materials, e-learning modules, and software tools are included in the scope of certification. This guarantees consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement of the educational resources we provide worldwide. - Instructor & Dive Center Monitoring
Our network of instructors and dive centers is central to our mission. ISO 9001 certification confirms that we have robust systems in place to evaluate, monitor, and support our professionals, ensuring consistent quality and safety standards everywhere ProTec operates. - Training Delivery
Every ProTec course is delivered within a certified framework that prioritizes safety, learning outcomes, and international standards. This applies equally across beginner courses, advanced programs, and professional-level training. - Confirmation of Conformity with Relevant ISO Diving Standards
It was proven during the certification process that ProTec’s own training standards comply with the relevant ISO-defined diving standards. While there are far fewer ISO diving standards than ProTec’s comprehensive internal standards, the independent confirmation of conformity remains an important achievement. - Student Certification
The certification of our divers is not just a paper exercise. ISO 9001 requires that we maintain clear procedures, reliable documentation, and impartial evaluation methods — so every student’s achievement is valid, consistent, and trustworthy. - Continuous Improvement
Certification is not a one-time event. With annual surveillance audits, we are required to monitor our processes, gather feedback, and implement improvements. This ensures that ProTec always moves forward, never standing still.
Certified by TÜV AUSTRIA

Our certification was carried out by TÜV AUSTRIA (Technischer Überwachungsverein Austria) — a body with more than 150 years of experience in independent testing, inspection, and certification. TÜV AUSTRIA is itself accredited by Accreditation Austria to certify management systems, and its certificates are trusted by industry, government, and authorities worldwide.
This means our ISO 9001 certification is an achievement with genuine international recognition — far beyond self-declared or association-based conformity schemes.
How ProTec Differs From Industry Norms
The most well-known diving umbrella organizations have very similar certification programs. Although they emphasize the conformity of their standards with the relevant ISO standards, and ISO is therefore an important value not only for the umbrella organizations but also for individual diving organizations, there are no known accredited ISO certifications (as of August 2025), only association-based conformities.
By contrast, ProTec’s ISO 9001 certification was audited and issued directly by a ISO accredited certification body and is not just a association-based conformity of a ISO diving standard. What good is conformity to a standard if the quality doesn’t resonate with the customer? This is precisely where quality management comes in. Not as a declaration of intent, but as a tested whole, as proof of how and that it works. This makes our certification fundamentally different:
- It is not limited to selected training standards.
- It covers our entire organization and management system.
- It is a ISO certificate issued by an ISO-accredited certification body.
- It is internationally valid and recognized across industries, not just within diving.
A New Standard in Diving Education
Our ISO 9001 certification is more than a milestone — it is a commitment to everyone who learns, teaches, or partners with ProTec. It ensures that behind every dive course, every certification card, and every service we deliver lies a management system built on trust, quality, and accountability.
By choosing ProTec, divers and professionals choose a training agency that doesn’t just claim quality — but proves it, independently and globally.
ProTec – Quality you can trust. Certified by TÜV AUSTRIA.
